Mission
SWAT is Florida's statewide youth organization
to mobilize, educate, and equip Florida youth to revolt against and de-glamorize
Big Tobacco, a united movement empowering youth working towards a tobacco-free
future.
About This Contest
This SWAT website is home to a video commercial contest that allows each student
to become part of the tobacco-free revolution by creating his/her own 30 second
commercial. The contest has been divided into three categories: elementary,
middle, and high school. Elementary and middle school categories will only show
assigned random number and grade. High-school students' videos will be posted on
the site twenty-four to forty-eight hours after submission to allow for review
and approval. Once the videos become available, the community at large will be
able to return to this website to view the commercials and vote on the favorite
videos.
At the end of the contest (06/28/09), a panel of judges will determine the
grand and first prize winners for the elementary and middle school categories.
The top 10 commercials in the High school category will be reviewed by a panel
of judges, and the grand and first prize winners will be chosen. Winners will be
announced on/around June 29th, 2009. Good luck!
