Elementary (1st-5th Grade)
Do you think you have what it takes to make your friends and other youth your
age want to be tobacco-free? If so, with your parent/guardian’s permission,
create your own tobacco-free video. Be creative and come up with a 30-second
video telling others how smoking and tobacco use affects you and your
environment.
Your video will be viewed by a panel of judges. A first place winner and a
runner-up will be chosen from your category’s submissions. Be as original as
possible and let your creativity shine, but remember to use correct information
in your videos! You have a good chance to win a Wii!
Middle (6-8 Grade)
Have you got the stuff to convince others to be tobacco-free? If the answer
is yes, then with your parent/guardian’s permission, let's roll. Create your own
30-second tobacco-free commercial and possibly win an iPod touch. Tell us how
tobacco and smoking affect you and your world. You may also choose to talk about
how tobacco companies market to you and your peers, how "uncool" smoking really
is, or about the harmful effects of tobacco use! Be as creative as you like, but
remember, we encourage the use of facts in your videos! Good Luck!
High (9-12 Grade)
Give us your take on tobacco use. Get your parent/guardian’s permission to
submit your own 30-second tobacco-free commercial. You may choose to talk about
how tobacco companies market to you and your peers, how “uncool” smoking really
is, about the harmful effects of tobacco use, or some of the myths you may have
heard. Be as creative as you like, but remember, we encourage the use of
facts in your videos! Good Luck!
